Soul

Com tanta polémica, por um lado, e tantas referências que tenho visto à qualidade do filme, por outro, fiquei curiosa para o ver. Vi ontem durante a tarde, numa sessão caseira, com aquecedor e pipocas. Gostei, mas não adorei. O motivo de não ter ficado rendida, prende-se à ideia que tenho de todo o processo de reencarnação, que é ligeiramente diferente do apresentado no filme, e à parte estética do limbo, que não me agradou por aí além. Em todo o caso, o filme está bem feito e com pontos interessantes que fazem pensar. O que gostei mais foi das imagens e dos bonecos da vida terrena. Todos os personagens estão fantásticos e tão bem feitos que parecem reais. E adorei toda a música do filme. Polémicas à parte, é um filme giro, interessante, mas não transcendente.

With so much controversy (in Portugal), on the one hand, and so many references that I have seen to the quality of the film, on the other, I was curious to see it. I saw it yesterday afternoon, in a homemade session, with a heater and popcorn. I liked it, but I didn't love it. The reason for not being surrendered, is due to the idea that I have of the whole process of reincarnation, which is slightly different from that presented in the film, and to the aesthetic part of the limbo, which did not please me out there. In any case, the film is well done and with interesting points that make you think. What I liked most was the images and dolls of earthly life. All the characters are fantastic and so well done that they look real. And I loved all the music in the movie. Controversy aside, it's a cute, interesting, but not transcendent film.
